Let's say there's a chance the Flames could outbid the Habs and land PK Subban.

How much, for how long would you be willing to give him?

I'd be willing to give him Brad Richards money.

No thanks. It would cost us a fortune in money and like mentioned above, assets. Not worth on a rebuilding team, we need all the assets we can get. Don't get me wrong though, he's a great player though just not worth the price and Montreal won't let him go.

I wouldn't even consider offering Subban a contract for a second. It would be a stupid, stupid idea for the Flames. You would be looking at losing your next 5 first round picks, including what is likely a top 5 pick in a very very good draft in 2015.

I genuinely don't think you NEED a Subban to win a Stanley Cup. He is just surrounded by controversy, some of which aren't his fault but some are. So no, let the Habs lock him up in French prison for the next decade or so.

For PK Subban to come to the Flames I'd give him $7.6M for 5 years.

He'll re-sign with the Habs though for a lot more money.

There are really not any teams that would go after him considering what they would have to give up and PK more than likely wants to stay in Montreal.

I also believe that on a long term deal it's the total contract divided by 5 years or something, maybe that changed with the new CBA since there would be a 7 year max.

He will get at least 8 million but most likely in the 9 million range with the cap rising.

Pretty much my thoughts, he's going to make 7-8 million with the Habs. For him to sign an offer sheet that the Canadiens would not consider matching would need to be at least 9 million or north of that.
