I feel like all my favorite movies are standalone movies. Although I think this type of discussion is a bit unfair to some of the classic old movies that get sequels because... why not. Like if you like Blade Runner or The Shining or something you should be able to think of those as standalone movies.

I really liked Minority Report as a stand alone Sci-Fi movie.

If the Matrix was a stand alone film(like it probably should have been) it would be my favorite.
