Nice.. a Cardinal on the all-time team.
I'm with you guys on Jim Brown in the backfield too..

I would replace Montana with Brady tho. And plug another old-timer (Otto Graham) as his back up.
I have Lombardi & Belichick working the sidelines..

Lack of some current day players is disturbing:

JJ Watt, Brady/Manning, Gronkowski

I know everyone loves Montana but he couldn't do the same things Manning and Brady do now.

If that's your basis, then every player in today's game is better than yesterday's. And guys coming in over the next 2-3 years will be better than Manning or Brady.

When these things are asked, I look rather at how "superior" were the players over others in the same generation. The Montana-Rice combo was legendary and almost impossible to stop at the time they played. The 49ers clobbered teams with their offense.

The QB position is evolving and I think you're going to see plenty of 4,000 yd, 500 yd rushing QBs in the future. Then we'll be saying Manning and Brady couldn't run so other guys are better. Just depends on what your basis is I guess.

Watt is already almost a near-lock for the HOIF, but I mean you have guys like Bruce Smith, Reggie White and Deacon Jones at the same position.

Gronk is also doing special things but hasn't caught up to Tony Gonzalez yet.

I would've put Brady as my QB (GOAT in my eyes) but I went with a homer pick in Favre.

Watt is on his way to becoming the best of all time at his position but he hasn't surpassed guys like Reggie White or Bruce Smith quite yet

I was torn between Montana and Brady. Went with the safer pick in Montana

Gronk, like Watt, is also on his way to becoming the best TE of all time but he's got a while to go to catch Gonzalez

Watt is in his way to the HOF but when you have guys like Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Deacon Jones available..it's hard not to choose those guys.

As for Gronk, he's good and in his way to the HOF too but then you got Gonzalez, Sharpe, Gates, Winslow available.
