If you were to look through NHL history, what first name would you consider to be most commonly associated with the best players?

To make things more even, names of similar pronunciation or those that are shortened would be bundled together, such as: Joe and Joseph or Nicolas, Niklas, and Nick.

Give examples of the players associated with those names to give a bit of context behind why you chose your answer.

Start with a common name, and see how many you can think of. Not-so-average-Joe's:

Joe Malone
Joe Juneau
Joe Mullen
Joe Murphy
Joe Sakic
Joe Nieuwendyk
Joe Thornton
Joe Pavelski

Leafs have a guy at dev camp named gunnarwolfe Fontaine. There was a draftee last month named hunter skinner, but gunnarwolfe Fontaine is in a league of it's own.
