He is a player that can range from "AHLer" to "dominant offensive performer" multiple times within a 10 game stretch. If I was Bergevin, I would trade him unless the return was really next to nothing.

Depends on the day. Overall I'm comfortable calling him a middle 6er but don't feel comfortable voting either 2nd or 3rd liner.

It's pretty crazy that he didn't amount to much after how dominant of a prospect he was. He looked better than MacKinnon at times on that Mooseheads team.

He's a 2nd line winger that oozes skill and has so much more to give, but rarely puts it together.

Before this season, he probably brought more negative value than positive but he played like a solid 2nd line winger this year. We'll see if it continues.

He was so absurdly good. His draft+1 season is basically the answer to the hypothetical question "What if a #1 overall went back to play juniors for one more year?".

and we got our answer...stagnant production, low interest level, alleged off-ice issues (late to practice, late nights, etc).

Kid had no business in the Q again - personally I think if you are TB and draft this kid you need to see how it was going to affect him moving forward. I would have kept him up personally.

his impact is that of a good second liner. He has the talent to be a good first liner but is running out of time to put it together and find that level.

Decent 3rd line player(on a good team), good for 15 goals and 45 pts a year. He'd need a hard worker on his line though, to go mucking in the corners, because he sure as hell won't do it.

Think you're selling him just a touch short here. He's at least a second liner on the majority of the teams in the NHL and the past four seasons he's averaged 53 points per 82 games, almost 10 points higher than the 45 point player you claim he is...

I expect a 2nd liner to have a positive impact overall over the course of a season (and not just a slight positive impact over the course of a stretch during which their PDO shows very high unsustainability)
