I know this thread is supposed to be in good fun, but before talking about how Crosby and Malkin fighting in the finals, shouldn't Canada and Russia make the finals first? I mean, we're talking about two teams that finished 4th and 7th last time around after all, right?
Instead, let's talk about two players on the same NHL team that we know for sure will be playing each other. USA and Canada play on Feb. 21 and there's all kinds of NHL teammate overlap there. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews going at it would be fun, yes? Maybe we'll get lucky and 5 guys with NHL team ties will all be on the ice at the same time and we could do 5 vs. 5. At the same time Kane and Toews are going at it, maybe Ryan Getzlaf can battle Bobby Ryan, Ryan Suter can duke it out with Shea Weber, Sidney Crosby can fight Brooks Orpik, and Tim Gleason can drop gloves with Eric Staal. Maybe they can do it "Survivor Series" style.
