Why do people still push this narrative? We're in the middle of yet another major collapse after the worst one in NHL history. This franchise is closing in on 25 years of mediocrity. Are you not sick of it yet? Real Habs fans expect management to try to make the team competitive, not hire all your buddies and sit around smoking cigars, and trade anyone who dares to go against MT. Anyone who is ok with this crap is not a real Habs fan.

I think MB has a done a good job of making the team competitive, a 'Real Habs fan' would know it's not a prime FA destination and I like the trades he's made so far.

'Real Habs fans' that you speak of who think the teams management is smoking cigars and hanging out with friends are out to lunch.

I guess I don't panic as fast as 'Real Habs fans'.
