Lots of outlets have good prices on the Easton Mako stick from 2012. Examples:

http://www.totalhockey.com/product/Mako_Grip_Composite_Stick_12_Model/itm/8719-31/
http://www.hockeyworld.com/index/page/product/product_id/9753
Why is this stick being marked down so much? Was there some kind of problem with it? Has anyone used one? I'm tempted to pick one up, since it appears to be a high-end stick at a mid-range price, and I'm down to one quality stick at the moment.
The 2013 Makos appear to come in a few varieties of varying quality, but from what I can tell the 2012 only comes in one variety, and the price has been slashed across all retailers. I'd like to know why.
