Yeah that is true. Made me think of Travis Green's OT goal in 2003, not the worse goal for sure, but not the usual scorer.

Kane’s OT goal the first time the Hawks won the Cup with that group was probably the ugliest one I’ve seen. As a neutral fan it was even worse that it was the Cup clincher.

They sometimes did if you actually checked the goaltender behind the net. Which is what happened to Belfour.

The Emerson goal, of course, involved a player throwing a puck into the net. Which was even more egregious.
