It's not so much a little thing, but it's a thing that doesn't get talked about enough:

Saad is a one-man breakout. It's kind of crazy to watch.

Steven Stamkos....VERY underrated checking forward.

Everyone knows all about how he can score goals (when you score 60 you tend to get people's attention), but not many outside the Lightning fanbase really understand that he has worked very hard to be a complete two way, 200 ft player.

His personal stats in recent years haven't been as high (yes, injuries have had a major impact on him), but that isn't because he isn't 'as effective a player' but rather he does other things on the ice to help his team.....and I have seen him play some pretty darn good checking type games while still being able to find open teammates...especially Nikita Kucherov.

I will take a Stamkos that puts up 30 G, 70Pts and does just about EVERYTHING on the ice over a Steve Stamkos that scores 50G, 90Pts but is just interested in the offensive part of the game.
And that is JUST what he seems to be doing, and doing it well.

Hall is an awesome possession driver. Doesn't matter who he's playing with, he can drive play and transition into the opponent's zone

Matthews is good at playing the puck with his skates.
Rielly is elite at skating the puck from his own end, circling the opponent's net, and accomplishing nothing.

Byfuglien is good at scrums.

Polak is really good at shooting the puck off the glass.

Laine actually has excellent draw weight--lifting the puck deep without icing it. Obviously that's not something you want to see very often.

Parise is good at getting paid well by scoring below average.
Granny is good at not playing a full 82 game regular season.
