Does that mean you have (or could have) PP/PK time by season for the late 40s to 60s? NHL.com doesn't have any data for those years.

I have all the Live data JSONs from the NHL websites. The penalties appeared on them since the very beginning - 1917/18. However, the penalty timestamps only appeared in 1947. The data has been processed and organized into stretches of "strengths on ice".

The data on a game basis is available on NHL.com, e.g.
Boston Bruins - Detroit Red Wings - December 28th, 1947
