Definitely experience. Very few cores win the cup on their 1st try.

And while I think experience in general is somewhat overrated it's certainly valuable used correctly.

Valid question. Alot of vets who haven't won like JJ and Cogliano will do what it takes to win their first. And so will their team mates.

That said we know what it takes to win and got that monkey off our back.

I'd say experience. Forsure.

In this case, hunger trumped back to back cup experience but historically, exp seems more valuable

This coach and how he manages the teams emotions and expectations help make them champs. While they weren't Cup winners before this season they sure gave the aura of a team that had climbed that mountain before. How many times did reporters try to bait them into sounding excited or pumped after a win and they didn't bite? It was always we just have to focus on winning the next one. That's how real champs act and this team was doing it from the first day of last season.

Experience in general. This Avs team was insanely talented but the level of depth needed to overcome the injuries and TBL is a testament to how good they (the TBL) were too.

Ya all the GMs are overpaying for that insatiable hunger the players have
