Hahaha there was a period I was less than pleased with Colorado when Barrie ended Despres' career (and not long before that Landeskog cross checked him in the head and they gave Despres a penalty on the play before Landeskog was suspended for three games). And just generally it seemed like Anaheim couldn't go a game against the Avs without having a player injured. They were never one of my most hated teams but I had bad feelings that eventually went away.
As you said, that's probably changing very soon.

Got the Avs in 6 this series. Vegas is one hell of a team it’ll be tough but think the Avs can do it. It’s a damn shame this isn’t a WCF matchup though. Have a feeling this won’t be the last time these two teams meet in the playoffs in the near future.

If we could suspend Reaves and have Nosek or Glass take his roster spot that'd be great.
Tbh I think Glass had a solid game in G6. Granted almost everyone in the lineup was mediocre to bad, but he at least looked like he was trying and was executing better than most.

At the risk of sounding overly dramatic, this has the makings of an all time classic for me. Two top teams that play a high octane, offensive style, lots of comparable parts on each side...this is the series to watch this round, IMO.
I picked Colorado to win the Cup, so I’m going Avs in 7 - but I feel this one is going to come right down to the marrow.

Uhhh, thanks I guess? If not for Fleury the Avs probably win the season series 6-2 against Vegas this last season. He played out of his mind against Colorado.

Furthermore, both teams have quite a few big boys in the roster, who are not afraid to hit or take a hit. There will be some earthquake-like collisions in the series on top of all the skill and speed. Looking very much forward to enjoy this clash of titans.

Will be interesting to see if Newhook returns to the lineup, or Sampo Ranta makes his NHL debut for Colorado.
