Zherdev has had at least 5 scoring chances tonight including the dis-allowed goal..

He just scored and a sweet snap shot.

This kid has really shown some flashes of absolute brilliance tonight.

Looked like it went off of Orszagh's stick. It fluttered quite a bit and didn't have the mustard of many of his previous shots. Still, it had eyes and found the net. Congrats.

I am just amazed he got the shot off. It was a quick snap shot and the puck was in his skates...

Zherdev also picked up an assist on Nash's late goal...

1g 1a & 1 goal dis-allowed and about 7 scoring chances(5 shots on goal). The kid played extremely well.

Zherdev sure is a fun guy to watch. He reminded me a bit of Pavel Bure out there, except bigger.

That is exactly what the CBJ color commentator was saying during the post game wrap-up.

He doesnt seem to be having problems adjusting to the smaller rink.

This game should be 3 - 3 with Zherdev having 3 points.

Yeah, if you are looking it at from a completely BJ's/Zherdev point of view. Hartnell hit the crossbar, Legwand fanned on an emptynetter cross ice as did Arkhipov. Oh and Hartnell had a goal disallowed. Maybe if Columbus had capitalized and Nashville didn't, then yes 3-3 is a possibility.

Of course, if there isn't an empty net on Columbus' end, they never get their second goal. Walker, realizing there was an empty net, slowed up to make a play with the puck. He was beat for icing by Nash. If Walker is trying to beat out the icing (instead of trying to feed Rem for an EN), he would have and there would have likely been no second goal by Nash.
