Unless he's getting on the ice, the only thing Beck is developing is a nice collection of suits.

Considering the recent under-performance of Wilson and Hornqvist, I would strongly consider scratching one in favor of Beck and see what kind of response that yields. If he isn't going to play, what was the point of recalling him?

This is actually incorrect. Keeping him off the ice for an extended period of time isn't great, but the occasional break can be remarkably efficacious.
