I'm actually more happy about the fact that we did well without him. But i'm also glad that he didn't miss 20+ games because of an injury or something because that would have been a whole different story.
Too true. I'm hoping he stays healthy this season. The fact we did well without him for two games really was a boon. I'm hoping Bednar saw this as well and doesn't try to ride EJ into to the ground. Yes, he's a work-horse and yes he can play minutes but if we've got folks that can pick up minutes there is no need to push him unnecessarily.

In a way it was a win-win. Got 3/4 for points, EJ got some rest, and like someone mentioned earlier hopefully this will let Bednar see that he doesn't have to ride him into the ground.

Obviously you don't want to see hits like that in the game but glass half full.
