So in a 2-minute drill starting at their own 14, Tampa ran the football and used a 1-receiver set.

Ron Rivera countered with multiple timeouts.

We also got a phantom out-of-bounds call and a 15-yard penalty.

What is this I am watching.

I know it's the announcer's job to play up the drama no matter what, but hearing "knocked out the defending champs" and "what a gut check" just sounds completely absurd after watching that abortion of a game. It would have been more appropriate to say something along the lines of "well thank god that's over".

Let's take a live look at the Panthers locker room, Bill.

Might be better for people like What the Faulk to go into a cave, away from all forms of media for a week, because the hot takes are about to get even hotter.

I expected regression from the Panthers given the reconfiguration of the roster, but not this much...

Probably should fire Shula, because i'm not sure what he was thinking with those play calls.

Just for the sake of making conversation, here's mine; Carolina is on the verge of a 49ers-ish meltdown. Especially with Drew Brees waiting for a matchup soon.

1-4 Panthers at 1-3 Saints next weekend. Loser gets sole possession of last place, winner gets to laugh for days and days and days

Shula isn't the issue. Gettleman trying to be the smartest guy in the room is. He let Norman walk, which is fine but he didn't do anything to beef up the pass rush. If they were content with rookie DB's, you need to protect them with a consistent pass rush.

sure is an interesting year...the patriots seem like the only truly great team. the vikings if they can get healthy may well be the team in the NFC, but until I see Sam Bradford win some important games and play well in doing so i can't buy in but i credit him for playing as well as he has given the situation

Every game is an important game. To say the Patriots are the ONLY great team in the NFL, tells me that you don't watch the NFL. There are at least 5 teams that look like they can win it all this year. Also, there are a couple of more teams, that look like strong contenders, like the Cowboys, Falcons, Raiders, and the Eagles. Sheesh, open your eyes.
