UGA beats UNC. One jumps to 9, the other falls out. How does that work? Either UGA beat a good team or they didn't. Also I love how UT drops 8 spots after winning (which is probably where they should have been to begin with) despite us going 11-2 last year.

Point is, the first four weeks are completely meaningless as far as determining how good a team is, and yet these preconceived notions can and do influence postseason bids.

That said, I REALLY hope Miami is ranked when we play them next week.

I like Wisconsin (I'm an Illinois fan myself), but them jumping all the way to #10 is laughable.

I think they're still overrating LSU. We did dominate them and threw away and gave them points but LSU isn't a top 5 team even though they were ranked. I think Wisconsin is probably like the 20th best team in the country. The defense is legitimate but the offense lacks skill position talent after Clement and Fumagalli.

Yeah, Wisconsin (and maybe even Texas) are rated wayyyyyy too high.

Ok, after a nice upset alert win with Texas last week, I am going to take a chance and put Tennessee on upset alert this week. (You are welcome, IX!)

No upsets this weekend. Tulsa and Ohio State has the feeling of a 63-35 type game.

Central Michigan or Nevada are the only chances for upsets and they're super unlikely

If only Nevada was Boston college or Pittsburgh. Dames defense is Swiss cheese.

Central Michigan only lost by 11 last year.

I have to admit that college football may not only be the second most popular sport in the US, but it may be the best.

This past weekend went absolutely perfect for the NCAA. You had epic theatre in primetime showcases, your blue blood title defender look better than ever and upsets.

I love this picture. Some people feel only Power 5 conference teams should be eligible for the 4 team playoff. What do you think?

The Wolverines need to be on upset alert. Don't let UCF's 0-12 record last year fool you they're extremely talented on both sides of the ball and Frost's offense should be able to move the ball against the tough Michigan D. The only issue is they play a 3-4 and are build for speed so Michigan has the big screen to push them around a bit. If betting take UCF +34.5 easily.

Then why even have the G5 teams in the same division as the P5 if they have no chance at a national championship (the bowl games do not matter at all)? Makes no sense to exclude them.

Because Tulsa can score with Philip Montgomery as their HC.

Phil Steele had Bowling Green as a better team than Tulsa going into the year. If that is the case, it's a pick the score game just like against Bowling Green. The spread is 28, so your guess is closer to the spread than I think it will be. I think it's 40.
