Yep, after Alt got in fight all the pairings got changed a bit with him being out there with O'Neal or Hagg.

I have no qualms with Manning as the #7 D and fighting to get his way onto the 3rd pairing. What's more encouraging is that Macdonald, Morin and Provorov are making Schultz look extremely expendable right now, as I already suspected he was.

Alt got hurt in that fight.

I know they were down Alt but he was picking up more shifts than the others. He was even seeing time with the top line which wasn't happening too much earlier in the game.

There's no stat tracking tonight so it's tough to tell but his possession numbers in the last ten minutes of that period had to have been really good. The puck wasn't spending much time in his zone when he was out there.

I should clarify, that's what the guys in studio said after end of the period. They praised Amac for good 2 minutes before they decided to give some props to Konecny for his play too.
