Can you bring a player on LTIR as a coach?
Might be more of a challenge if he can't walk. Most coaches do at least some stuff during the drills.

Why’s the thread heading still a rumour? Is it only confirmed once the 82 games have been played?
Player gets paid. Team and insurance company may or may not share cost. Some other poster told me they are 100% insured? . Hard to know the truth
I honestly think the recapture penalty will be voided if he does retire officially after next season once his yearly salary drops to 1M. The contract was an offer sheet signed 2 CBAs ago IIRC, the league will vote to void it IMO.I've seen a few trade proposals where Nashville benefits from acquiring Weber - can someone explain how they benefit if he retires with Nashville as opposed to Montreal. Not clear on what's the difference
League came arbitrarily not follow rules that they negotiated in the last CBA because, why not.
