Montreal got off to a rough start, but played better in back half of 1st. They followed that with one of their best 2nd periods of the season.
1st line just looked tired in 3rd.
Anderson & Matheson took their roles as tank commanders seriously in the 3rd period and came through with game breaking plays to deny us points.
Another really good game by Newhook, who's having an impressive final 3rd of the season.
No points for Suzuki & Slafkovsky sucks.
Primeau was outstanding. Great game, kid.

was a stressfully close night but God dammit we pulled it off! we lost the game we were supposed to and the other won the ones they were supposed to.. the sense of relief atm is palpable

For sure but we lack the skill outside of the top line. While hard work and compete is a good thing it isn't enough.
