A few caveats:
I wrote this yesterday over lunch, so the numbers of players may be wrong. I also did not mean to disrespect the fine ladies of our Board, I just wasn't sure if any are in the Bubbles. Finally, Bruce Dickinson is a legend and could sing the phone book, so excuse the rough slant rhymes, but I tried to follow the cadence as much as possible.

Here comes the NHL& NHLPA, return to play on their mind
To play with no fans in stands and players forced to stay inside

Onward we near, to play in summer sun
See, Bubbles to play in, a concept so new
Canada gets one, wait they get two
Waiting on baited breath
Interest in Training Camps all anew
Testing all players hoping they’re safe and precautions are used
Then, one by one. They come back clean, four thousand plus
We, we take a breath. Hope it still lives, to play in summer sun
(Bridge into legendary creepy narrative)
One after one by the star dogged moon
Too quick for groan or sigh
Each left his family with familiar pang
And many with a tear in his eye
Fourteen times fifty gifted men
(And I heard nor sigh nor groan)
With heavy hearts they knew their parts,
And entered the Bubbles, one by one.
The target - Hockey’s ultimate prize
Or First Overall in some eyes
Alone with each other
They settled into barrack like lives
And by the light of the moon
HF Canucks pray for an end to the gloom
With heart we bless them
Players and support staff all of them too
Then the spell starts to break
The albatross falls from their neck
Qualifying Round ends in victory
Finally our Board sheds the PAAAAIIIIIIINNNNN!

See them stir and they start to rise
Bodies lifted by good spirits
So great to see them and all welcome in our eyes
And another win is still sought, hope springs again

Canucks Vancouver are our own
Spirits lifted from the long dead seasons
Knowing our Boys aren’t being sent home
And then a Second-Round win is given to us
It was a joy of immense relief
The Captain, Petey along with a Rookie
And Markstrom have made us believe.
Now we’re on the brink, down one game to three
To the Knights from the city of the sin
We all hope this is not the end of story
But we are proud no matter how this Series goes
To teach our Core, this Playoffs example
No better opportunity could have been made

That Bure goal... I still remember the pandemonium at home when it happened. To this day I have not celebrated a goal like that (I watched the The Burrows Dragon slaying late at night in a different timezone and could not celebrate because of sleeping kids)

Talk on 1040 that Demko might be starting. Did Green overplay Marky? Marky tweek that knee he injured before? Marky just playing poorly? Or is this just media fabrication?

Demko’s had some big games before - this would take the cake, though. Whoever’s in net, the Canucks need to come out like hornets and attack the other team’s net - score early and often.

Already proud of the boys of their efforts and determination in these playoff games. But still hoping they will their way into winning at least one, or two, or three straight games!

I’m scared. I don’t want this to be the end. Someone hold me
win or lose, these guys have given us some great hockey moments during the summer..what a team we have going forward..we beat Minnesota, and the Stanley Cup champs.I think we are just a couple small pieces away from being a legit top team for a few years to come..Im pretty excited.
