Big Game Story: WCSF’s / PDF’s Round 2 Game #6, BATTLE SO. CAL. For the second time in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Los Angeles Kings have lost three straight games. They were able to rally from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference First Round, but can they solve the new-look Anaheim Ducks, who have 20-year-old instant sensation John Gibson in goal and a collection of young players helping support their superstars in a way the Kings' depth guys have not? Anaheim played well in the first two games of this series but ended up with losses. Los Angeles coach Darryl Sutter said the Kings were fortunate to win Game 1 in overtime, and the Ducks outshot them in a big way in Game 2. Now the Ducks have surged ahead, and their counterattack is giving the Kings a lot of problems. Anaheim's young players are getting better as the series progresses. Each coach has been adamant about the lack of momentum from game-to-game, but the Ducks have been able to find it in bursts during games. Los Angeles won four straight elimination games in the opening round and will need two more to advance to the Western Conference Final for the third consecutive season. There is a wealth of experience to draw upon in the situation, for the players and their coach. The KINGS need to remind DUCKS, KINGS FANS and THEMSELVES which team won a Stanley Cup Championship in 2012. GO KINGS GO !!!

Okay, let's get into the spirit. There are adjustments to be made in the offseason but there's no need to end the campaign just yet.

I haven't seen the Kings put in a poor effort in an elimination game yet. They'll play hard and desperate and they'll get the win.

# 36 John"Jesus"Gibson allowed only 3 goals last game...Why you might wonder,

Holy trinity=3
Goals allowed=3

3 = 3 (6). Coincidence? No.

But not only that? Lewis scored too? We all know Lewis is part of the Bermuda Triangle committee, and he scored... Gibson was in on it.

King Lewis Clifford= 3 players

Triangle= 3 points.

3=3 Coincidence? No.

Gaborik #12 scored last game... John Gibson=10 letters.
12+10=22 Lewis... And he scored too... Lol

36/12=3
9/3=3
4-1=3

Started using this after the Kings lost Game 3 to SJ and it worked the rest of that series so let's dust it off and go with it again..

Got room on the bandwagon for a sad Wild fan?

Kopitar is my favorite player outside of the Wild. Plus still love my boy Gabby!

Toffoli, Pearson, Doughty, Voynov, and Muzzin are free to get in on any scoring too. Could use a goal from a driving to the net Kopitar as well.

A reminder of how the scoring has played out in the 2nd round.

I think Smith-Pelly was credited with the goal that you've got Perreault having scored.

The Ducks had 9 guys in double digit goals in the regular season. They've gotten 5 goals from those 9 guys. The Kings had 10 guys in double digits, and have gotten 10 goals from those 10 guys(although most are obviously from one guy), if you count King's empty net goal.

The Ducks have gotten 7 goals from guys that scored less than 10 goals during the regular season, where the Kings have gotten 1.

Right now, Smith-Pelly and Selanne are the difference in the series. The Ducks have 12 goals in this series, the Kings have 11. Smith-Pelly and Selanne scored 11 combined goals in the regular season. They've got 5 combined goals in the 5 games of this series. Even if Perreault had scored that one, that's still 4 goals. That's huge.
