Big Game Story: WCSF’s / PDF’s Round 2 Game #3, BATTLE SO. CAL. For the fifth time in three seasons, the Los Angeles Kings will return home for Game 3 of a Stanley Cup Playoff series with a 2-0 lead. The Anaheim Ducks will try to avoid becoming the fifth team in three years to fall into a 3-0 hole against the Kings, who have won six straight this postseason. Anaheim has three goals in this series, and despite going toe-to-toe with Los Angeles in the puck-possession battle, the Ducks have not had many great chances. Coach Bruce Boudreau said he tried to get forwards Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry away from Los Angeles' top line because "they were dominating" after Game 2, but Boudreau the day before Game 3 defended his stars and suggested others need to do more. Depth scoring has not been a problem of late for Los Angeles, and the play of rookie forwards Tanner Pearson and Tyler Toffoli is a big reason for that. They have added speed and skill to a lineup that already had a collection of players with Stanley Cup-winning experience. They've proven they are ready to compete at this level. The KINGS need to remind DUCKS, KINGS FANS and THEMSELVES which team won a Stanley Cup Championship in 2012. GO KINGS GO !!!

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

It's gonna be, yeah.

If the Ducks want any sort of comeback, they're gonna play the body tonight. Hard.

I hate to be "that guy" but I'm expecting a few players to take runs at Kopitar, Doughty, and shower/crash the net on Quick.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Beauchemin, Allen, Fistric, or Lovejoy slam someone into the glass more than once..

I'm only expecting a bloodbath if the score isn't close. Must-win games tend to not have too many shenanigans. Too much on the line for both teams.

I hope they keep trying to play that way, it obviously hasn't worked so far.

It worked game one pretty well. Seven seconds away from victory, and a lost wall battle puck goes in the right direction and it bounces off a skate and gets batted in.

Game two wasn't even close to as physical as game one, it looked almost like they wore themselves out from game one. You know it's that type of game when Old Man Selanne goes in for the hits. Game two everyone just tried to play that "outskate outplay game", very even physically.

Every team in 2012 had this mentality after going down 0-2 at home. It's ok, it's the natural way to think against the Kings, but it is also exactly what they want you to do. They are now in your head.

So happy we get to see a proper GDT as to opposed those abominations that Anaheim was putting up for the first 2 games.

Feeling good about tonight...i feel the same away about this team that i did in 2012...not saying we're unbeatable but i feel good.

Not in my head. I have 100 bucks on the Ducks winning the series against a friend, and he gives me an extra hundred if they win 4 straight.:handclap:

However, if the Ducks lose 4 straight, then I am to give him 75 extra dollars, and wear a sign around my neck that says "I love weiners" for a week when we're hanging out in public. - he's already getting the sign made :(

Note, he's only rooting for the Kings because he has the biggest boner for Quick. And even then, he only knows Quick because of the Olympics...

That would play right into the Kings hands.

If the Ducks are going to be successful against LA, they need to play their own game. The style that's made them successful over the course of this year.

When teams try and "get tough" with LA, they get their ass beat. The Blues tried it, the Sharks tried it, and you saw what happened. When Chicago beat us last year, and when the Sharks were having success against us, they didn't convert to the Kings style, they played their own style.

Anaheim controlled games 1 & 2. If a few bounces went their way, the could have easily won both games. They need to stay the course.
