When they thought the Oilers were history
Then won Game 6 two days ago
It filled Kings fans with sadness
While setting Oil nation aglow
We turned our gaze
From next Season in the distance
Smiles from frowns
When our Team showed persistence

Seven games this Series
A surprise
Both shown heart
And duel, as stakes they rise
Believing we can
End the Kings tonight
Beating them in Edmonton
Advantage of Home Ice

The hypocrites are questioning
What most can see as truth
The praise we‘re now showering
On the Kings’ aged & youth

Can't we find
A way to say we were wrong
Yes, in this round
They’ve shown they indeed belong, they belong

Seven games this Series
A surprise
Both shown heart
And duel, as stakes they rise
Believing we can
End the Kings tonight
Beating them in Edmonton
Advantage of Home Ice

Whoa, we can win tonight
And make a start
On a Playoff run
Boys, we know you’ll do your part

Not looking for anything preferential, just competent. Every Game 7 is special and always want to see it decided by the Players, not an egregious call made /missed against either Team.

Hope the oilers win, but mentally i'm expecting a loss.

Either way, this team doesn't have what it takes to get past the next round.

Theyre 2x more talented than the kings, but have half the heart. We used to be the scrappy overachieving underdog that gave contending teams trouble.

Not expecting Draisaitl to play, and if he does, I fear he'll have a negative impact, given how that leg bent when taken down my Anderson in game 6. Yes, he did play out that game, but he's been under the weather all series (it has seemed) and topping it with a leg injury that'll hamper his mobility and speed isn't a positive. If he's not able to take a morning skate, how is he going to be fit enough to battle hard in a game 7, which possibly goes to overtime?

Here's hoping the rest of the guys pick up the slack and bring their best collective game. They'll need it.
