Aside from being great at faceoffs, Rantanen has looked pretty awful this series. As a Jets fan I'm relieved, because another player with the effect of Makar or Mackinnon out there would probably be too much for the Jets to handle.

Sadly Rants looks more like a passenger most of the times, once in awhile he will look like he cares and take over, but seems to happen less and less as of late, shrug. As for MacK, he has been trying, but trying/chances don't win games

Since when are you allowed to blow down the play and start watching the video for any penalties if you didn't call a penalty in the first place?

They blew it down when the Avs had the puck and then called a penalty on Winnipeg?

(It was clearly a high stick - but the rules state they can't just stop play to "look" for penalties).

I have no issue with that penalty call. Reckless high stick and the guy was leaking all over the ice. Play's stopped either way, might as well ask if anyone thinks they saw something and then review it.
