Skinner is currently .878 sv% in his playoff career so far. We could have 6 Prongers on our blueline and we couldn't win with that.

Yup. Happened last playoffs and it has continued. Though the first game wasn't his fault so his numbers are a little skewered but this second game has been a disaster.

Canuck hunting
Talbot looks really shaky.

Like I said we're sure not gonna see any Vezina performances in this series. Both goalies getting exploited.

Oilers very fortunate that Kings essentially don't have goaltending.
Oilers get it within 1 and then give up a breakaway to a defenseman(!) Within 30 seconds. Goal or not you ain't winning playing like that.
Jesus doesn't post often but he's right about most things. Still can take this game, Oilers really explosive, and Talbot is really shit, but we're burned on counters. All the Kings goals coming off allowed rushes.

Easier said than done, look at the Canucks and Jets. Playoff hockey is effin hard, sooo hard to win 2 in a row
Canucks and Jets are horrible comparables. Vegas, Tampa, Colorado. Teams in the years they win have one thing in common- there is no drop off. It’s business every single game.

You absolutely can. Make a save especially the third goal. All I wanted heading into this playoffs was at least average goaltending from Skinner and he's already failed.
Yup I cringed when the game started and saw his 3.74 playoff gaa. Looks like he's going to boost those numbers today.

For a team to succeed in the playoffs, a goalie has to stop every shot he is supposed to stop and at least half of the ones he shouldn't be expected to stop. We are a LONG way from that happening.

That said, they shouldn't pull him. That would make this year just like last year because what do we do, pull him every game he lets bad ones in? Ride it out with him for this whole game. If we lose and he doesn't get better as the game goes on, then start Pickard next game. Aiden Hill showed a team can win a cup with a less experienced goalie. Find that out if we don't come back in this game.

I think you forget that Pronger was literally on the ice for half the game, if Nurse was replaced by Pronger then we wouldn’t have any worries.

Almong the worst goalie from the first round last year.
The very worst of the second. We where winning that series outside of his play.

Looking for an encore.
We are much better than LA and will go through on that alone.

Not gonna cut it once we get to the later stage

We just need to get back to our game. We had zero energy that period. LA playing conservative and disciplined, just letting ourselves beat ourselves. And it’s working.

Get rid of the mistakes and start pushing possession. Execute and we’ll be fine.

40 mins left. Cam ain’t holding us to 1 goal.
