Whilst the Edmonton Oilers disappointed their affiliate, the Barons, enjoyed a impressive season with good performances from plenty of rookies and season veterans, most notable perhaps was the inclusion of Jonathan Cheechoo. The Barons lost out in the 3rd round last time to the Marlies and will be looking to go further with this talented team. The Charlotte Checkers on the other hand finished with their second best points total of 92 to end up 2nd in the South Division. Chris Terry finished the season as the Checkers top scorer with 25G 35A in 70 games whilst the Barons where lead by Mark Acrobello who finished with 22G 46A in 74 games.

Looking forward to watching some Checkers postseason. Canes org sent down Nash and Dalpe (and probably Blanchard soon) and re-acquired Boychuk. I think a good AHL postseason would be a pretty big deal considering the big team's disappointment.

Can Peters join the team?

Don't they have to be included on the roster by a certain date?

Mind you, being honest, I wouldn't want Peters anywhere near that team. He's a sieve.

Marco Arcobello had a 3G 1A game last night. Impressive.
