I have a feeling that not very many people will consider the Qatar 2022 WC as the best ever. Perhaps some of the fans of the eventual winners but not e en all of them either .

This tournament was behind Brazil, France and USA in goals per game average, so I wouldn't say there were that many goals. They seems to come in bunches rather than spread evenly. There were some absolutely diresome games and it really says something that Own Goal set a new personal best. I preferred -98, -94 and -86 tournaments to this. Altough the only memory I have of watching a game from the -82 tournament is the Brazil-Italy game, based on highlights, I would put that tournament ahead as well
