Was there any team ever in the NHL history to have the best PP and PK both?

Without looking it up, I'd guess some of the powerhouse Canadiens teams of the Original 6 era. Not only were they legendary good, there were only five other teams.

I thought Wings might have done so, since they usually had a very good PP and staunch defense. They missed out in '96, when they were first in PK and second only to one of the best power plays of all time ('96 Pens).

The question has been asked in the past and I seem to recall the Islanders (mid 1970s) doing it before and after their Cup wins. Not 100% sure.

I could of sworn the Canucks did this in 2011...


EDIT: they were # 1 in both categories till the last 4 games.
Gave up 6 PP goals in just 21 opportunities.

Were sitting #1 at 86.6% before the final 4 games.
