Not too well versed with the full catalogues of any of those groups, but it never surprises me when a band starts off strong and then there's a gradual decline

One of the best rap albums ever imo. It's just a shame he was murdered after his 2nd album. He could've been a legend, the only MC Nas was afraid to battle with.

Other rap albums I'd put on this list off the top of my head:
Nas - Illmatic
Big Pun - Capital Punishment
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
Inspectah Deck - Uncontrolled Substance
AZ - Doe or Die
Capone'n'Noreaga - The War Report
Noreaga - N.O.R.E.

That first album has such a dark and real vibe. The jazzy music is great and fits perfectly.

Yeah, exactly. I've seen some critics knock the production on it but I think it fits perfectly too. There's not a bad track on the album.

The Doors
Velvet Underground
King Crimson
Roxy Music
Ramones
Television
The Cars
Devo
The Pretenders

I would agree with these. Most of the omitted from the original list, I disliked, so no opinion with those.

I would add

The Band
Leonard Cohen
Stone Roses
Pretenders
The Charlatans
Mick Taylor
Evanescence
The Strokes
The Byrds
UK (Holdsworth, Wetton, Bruford, Jobson)

The doors debut was a great album but it isn't my favorite, however i think that Black Sabbath first album is their best one.

Nah. I like the first Black Sabbath album but it ranks about 5th. Maybe 4th depending how I'm feeling about Masters of Reality.

Sabotage or Paranoid as the best Black Sabbath album. I also prefer Volume 4.
