Eakins is an idiot....he thinks he is the next great coach and has treated the NHL players like babies...
He will not get another opportunity to coach in the NHL if he can not figured it out soon. He tossed players under the bus as the Marlie coach and has continued this in Edmonton.
Burke allowed him to act like an idiot and we were lucky that we never got him as a coach.....he is using the same D zone system that Carlyle taught him as well.....for all the Critics of this system.
Carlyle is a much better coach then people on here give him credit for....yes he is stubborn....but that is not always a bad thing....he favors vets and again so do most successful coaches.
The Leafs trouble all is a result of poor leadership....has our fearless leader called a players only meeting yet this year?
