My expectation is McNeill is on roster come start of season and either shows something in early weeks or is then waived and likely done with Hawks organization

Zero chance Ouellet gets waived. management though highly enough of him last year to sign him to a 1 way contract. Really odd name to put on this list.

I think it's one of Ouellet and Sproul. Is Ouellet clearly ahead?

Ouellet has been clearly ahead for a few years now. I don't think either gets waived with how injury prone Kronwall and Ericsson will be going forward.

Land of no calls..
Some names I would want confirmed by teams fans:

Oulett, Clendening, Jensen, Etem, and mostly - Ty Rattie?

Clendening could earn a spot as a 7th D if AV wants to carry a offensive-minded guy to rotate in and out of the lineup. Jensen could win a spot as the 14th forward if he can play well in camp.

To the original list, there's zero chance McIlrath is waived. Same for Lindberg who is out for a couple months recovering from surgery.

Yeah Ouellet is ranked higher then Sproul right now, Ouellet is probably 7th and Sproul is 8th. Unless Sproul just wows them in training camp. Pretty sure that Ouellet gets the 7th spot as of now.

I still see the Oilers trading one of Nelson's guys for Sproul.

I think Puempel could be waived. Great pick up IMO for a team that has a spot. He's played well two years ago But didn't offer much last year. Last chance for him at camp in the Sens org since we have a lot of guys fighting for spots.

Jensen is almost certain, Clendening is likely based on how camp goes.

There's no way Oscar Lindberg gets waived. Whoever of Jooris/Gerbe fills his role will likely be sent down once he's healthy.

If Hellebuyck takes over starting duties as expected for the Jets then Hutchison will have to be sent down to the AHL. (Or Pavelec)
Jets fans dreading contracts and waiver eligibility will get in the way of HOCKEY decisions.

There is next-to-no chance that Danault gets waived by the Habs. Terry, Friberg, Samuelsson, Farnham, Condon, Matteau, and one of Barberio or Redmond. Flynn could be waived if a rookie has an outstanding camp or they pick someone off waivers.

While the expansion draft is under a year away the waiver bubble is very real and will hit some teams hard. Who are players who may not have a spot on the big club and will have to be pass through waivers on the completion of camp.

Connor Carrick and Phillip Danult are two.

no chance the leafs let Connor Carrick hit waivers. impressed with the big club, then went off in the AHL playoffs.
they can easily keep 8 dmen. Carrick not only makes the team but is in the starting lineup gam 1

TOR - Holland
TOR - Corrado

Leivo and Carrick are safe imo.

Carrick is safe. Holland is the most likely to be waived if necessary.
if they really need to cut a dman, corrado will be the first to go.
they kept him up for months without playing him so i doubt they just let him walk unless necessary though

I still see the Oilers trading one of Nelson's guys for Sproul.

Seeing that both Edmonton and Detroit have the same needs, Top 4 pairing RHD. I seriously doubt that Edmonton has what Detroit would be seeking for Sproul and with both Kronwall and Ericsson banged up pretty good. I think that Sproul will be staying with Detroit for awhile.

He was signed for 2 years so that he could be exposed in the expansion draft.

Comes down to him vs. the waiver exempt Pelech right?

Pretty much, and the stories coming out this off-season is basically prepping fans for Pelech not being here. "It's a numbers game", "get him more experience" etc. He looked really solid in his limited stint here, before his career nearly ended. He's supposedly back in 100% form, so let's see how he pans out.

For Jersey-
Scarlett may finally get his chance, plus we need defensman, but it will probably be a last chance for Reese

Boucher should be fine on that second list imo
