Canes aren't skating, and you can't get away with that against a team like Chicago. So far it's been men against boys.

Their captain's intangibles are greater than our captain's

Unfortunately, I think that one is on Jordan Staal. Jordan had the middle coverage which kept both D a little wider (thinking Jordan had coverage) and he got caught flat footed which allowed Toews to split the D.

Edit: Of course, it doesn't help that the whole team isn't skating so the Hawks D has all day to make those stretch passes also.

Even the line changes look slow. Turkey pre-game dinner tonight? Hope they pick it up soon, or this could be ugly.

I don't care as much about getting the 1st/2nd pick as I do about getting rid of the loser mentality this team has had since 2009. It's deadly and we need to learn how to win. Might as well start now. I'll gladly leave the high picks and losing to Edm/Buf.

That requires culture-change. Culture-change requires two things:

1.) A change in organizational philosophy. (Done!)
2.) A change in locker-room leadership. (Not hopeful.)
