what do you wanna know about him?

I just want to know more than the same 2 or 3 lines we can read here and there.

Do someone really saw him play ?

I heard that if every CHL team kwew that he was coming in north america he would had been pick earlier.

5 years later, Kazakov is leading his KHL team Metallurg Novokuznetsk. It's the first year he really got a chance (plays on the 1st line with a former Capital Ryan Stoa and a Minnesota 2015 pick Kirill Kaprizov) and looks astonishingly awesome.

He has 15 points (7+8) in 19 games so far, and leads the -21 team with +5.

Kazakov is very skilled, with great stickhandling and skating ability, has a decent shot with a good release, stands out with his good hockey IQ and passing. A creative player who is both good on the rush and in a positional attack. I wouldn't say he's amazing at defense, but still pretty decent, and he plays a bit of PK.

Downside is obviously his size (5'8.5, 170 lbs). Kazakov is signed with Kuznya until 2017, but if he can keep up his game, he'll likely be traded to some SKA of this world, and then, who knows, maybe it's him who'll be the next Panarin.

What went wrong in the Q? Those stats are only abysmal... :help::laugh:
Maxim said once that he went to QMJHL to improve his defensive play, which he did, but Huskies played a defensive-minded physical style that didn't fit well for a 5'7 17 year old finesse Russian winger, he also felt uncomfortable and lonely in Quebec as he couldn't speak any French, so he didn't make an effort to continue playing overseas.

P.S.Thank you mod for the thread title change.

It's 15 points in 19 games, not 9. Big difference. But not bad anyway.

Oops, sorry about that  but yeah, playing on a bad team in a pretty low scoring league, these are big numbers.
