Anyone following the KHL have any comments on this guy? Was a top 20 scorer in the KHL this year as a rookie 23 YO. Top scorer for all KHLers U24.

I haven't watched him in any KHL games but he seems like he's quick footed and a very smart player, could be a good scoring option in the middle 6

Didn't see him in KHL last season but saw every game from him when he played here with Kärpät in 2015-2016 and seen him quite a bit since 2010.

Has all the tools to be a fantastic player, shot, speed, hands and pretty decent defensive game. His hockey iq and passing leave something to be desired. Knows to be at the right spot to score but something is just missing from his overall game, doesn't really have the vision and elite passing skills to be consistent offensive shift after shift.

He is inconsistent, looks like a superstar for few games, scoring lasers to the top corner with ease, then does nothing for the next 5. He was healthy scratch for most the playoffs in 2015-2016 season and seemed like he was overwhelmed by physicality. He was supposed to be the #1C when he signed but spent most of the time on the wing, since his faceoff ability was pretty bad and couldn't handle the defensive side that well at center. Played most of the season on the wing in 2nd or 3rd lines.

Same thing happened this year with the World Championship team this year, was supposed to be a top 6 player on the team but barely played in the tournament.

Could be decent option for some secondary scoring and 2nd PP unit as shooter but since Leafs don't really have need for that type of player, seems extremely unlikely he makes it to the NHL this year. Classic tweener type, not enough skill for a scoring role, not enough grit or defensive game for bottom 6 role.

Seems like a great candidate for NHL ready injury call up and or 13th forward fodder. Can pass through waivers, Good enough to not be out of place, could play either wing or C if really needed, won't have to risk ruining a younger prospects development with yo-yoing, being played above their head, getting stuck in the press box/ bottom lines etc.

If he's anything more it's a bonus
