Vlasic isn't the same player he was 3 years ago.
It's possible he's started his regression, but it's more likely he just had an off season last season, and the numbers people often point to as 'signs' of his regression completely ignore the context that he's getting arguably the hardest minutes in the NHL. He's still got
twice as many seasons of absolutely elite play in the NHL than Ekholm has full seasons period.
I'd take 75% Vlasic over Ekholm without blinking anyway. People are wildly underestimating Vlasic and slightly overrating Ekholm because they saw him toedrag someone in the playoffs 3 years ago.
Stop making me stan Sharks players, it feels dirty. But somehow they're getting underrated even more than any other Pacific player.
Edit: and unsurprisingly everyone voting for ekholm that I recognize is on either east coast time zones or scandanavian.
