Quite impressive season so far for a 5'9 3rd liner!

9G 11A 20P, on pace for about 55 pts and over 250 SOG!

Not even on the PP for the moment, and plays just under 16 min/G.

Not bad for a 2nd year 4th rounder.

Arvidsson was always a treat to watch in the SEL. I am not surprised he is doing well.

He might be the best shot generator in the league right now.

SEVENTY-TWO shot attempts per 60 minutes.

He's like a middle class mans Jesper Fast. Dowant/10

He's just as good as Fast.

They're also very different.

Arvidsson is one of the best shot generators in the league but isn't great at shot suppression. Fast is one of the best shot suppressors in the league and not great at shot generation.

There was a thread on the prospects board about him prior to the 2014 Draft. I threw out his name as somebody to watch as a late round guy on the Devils board since we had zero RW depth and Arvidsson could come in immediately in the AHL. I did enjoy this blanket response: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showpost.php?p=83053219&postcount=235

Ummm no.
Not just no , HELL no !!
There is a reason why he has gone undrafted not once , but three times?
So 30 nhl teams have passed up a total of what over 3 years ....nearly 600 picks /times since he was draft eligible ?
And you think it is wise to use a pick on him when we are desperate for a scoring forward prospect?
I'm sorry but with all due respect I think this is exactly what the devils should not do

It's nice to see Arvidsson doing well. Nice reminder that it is possible to be a late bloomer.

While he has always been fun to watch, i have to admit he has surprise me, I though his sized would restrict him to be a typical 3/4 liner, but he is producing like a legit 1th liner. But wonder if will be able to keep it up.

The way he's playing right now, the Preds seriously need to think about protecting him from the expansion draft. The motor on this guy is non stop and it's just incredible watching him play. 3 assists tonight.
