Carolina Hurricanes‘ rookie forward Victor Rask netted the first goal of the game – and the first NHL goal of his career – in the Hurricanes’ surprising 3-2 win over the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Los Angeles Kings.

Rask completed a three-way passing play off of a break into the Kings zone, tipping in a goalmouth pass from linemate Chris Terry to give the home team a 1-0 lead.… read more

wait, you mean to tell me a professional hockey team, in or around the vicinity of Raleigh, NC, won a league title?

Out of all the cotton picking sports we play, it was a ****ing Yankee hockey team that won this State it's first ever Sports Title?
