He turned in a solid showing in the 2014 NHL preseason for the Washington Capitals, so it’s not totally surprising that Capitals’ rookie forward Andre Burakovsky would net the first goal of the 2014-15 regular season for his team.

Of further significance is that the goal was Burakovsky’s first career NHL goal, perhaps the first of what could be many for a player already showing signs of being a deadly sniper.… read more

Congrats to him. Excellent game.

Several nice setups and directly drew 2 penalties with some sweet stickhandling including the own zone toe drag. Not many players could get away with that or have the stones to even try it.
