Almost nine years after being selected in the NHL Draft, Vancouver Canucks defenseman Alex Biega made good on his first NHL opportunity by scoring his first NHL goal – the game-winner – in the Canucks 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild. Biega was named the game’s First Star for his efforts.
