The Montreal Canadiens‘ prized off-season signing started paying dividends on Thursday night. Forward Jiri Sekac, a native of the Czech Republic who starred in the KHL last season before being signed by the Habs back in July, scored his first NHL goal in his team’s 6-4 win over the Boston Bruins in the Habs’ home opener.
Sekac scored his goal late in the second period to draw the game even at 3 apiece.… read more
