After winning gold and silver at the last two World Junior Championships, 2013 host country Russia find themselves in a position to bring home another medal, possibly gold, in front of a home crowd.
But the job will not be easy as the Russians will face the team that defeated them in last year's gold medal game, Sweden, after struggling to defeat a game but far less talented Swiss squad in today's quarter-final game.
The scoring star for Russia in the game against Switzerland was forward Mikhail Grigorenko.
