Center Curtis Lazar and his Edmonton Oil Kings teammates made another run to the WHL championship this season, only to be dispatched by the Portland Winterhawks in a rematch of last year's championship that was won by the Oil Kings.
For Lazar, it was a solid season as he was able to nearly double his point total from the 2011-12 regular season. The Vernon, BC native scored 38 goals and added 23 assists for 61 points in 2012-13, a 30-point increase over his point total from 2011-12.
Although Lazar's game is not exclusively centered around his offensive ability, he nevertheless was not able to equal his strong playoff performance of 2012, where he registered 19 points (8G, 11A) in 20 games.… read more
