While his Kingston Frontenacs teammate, Spencer Watson, was the scoring star for Team Canada at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, Canadian forward Sam Bennett managed to chip in some points of his own, as well as some solid prognosticating skills.
Bennett made the equivalent of the Mark Messier “guarantee†when he predicted that Team Canada would defeat whichever team they faced in the gold medal game. And Bennett was indeed correct as the Canadians wrapped up their sixth consecutive gold medal at this event with a 4-0 win over Team USA.
