I had to Google to remember the name; it took David Hale 231 games until he scored a goal (I found the name mentioned in another HFBoards thread). Hale scored in the 2008-09 season after starting his NHL career in 2003-04. He finished his NHL career with 4 goals.

Mete has a notoriously weak shot, there's a reason why it took him this long to score (obviously he's been extremely unlucky as well). Wouldn't count on anything to skyrocket when it comes to his goal scoring.

Yeah, but he would need just score ONE! goal on average per season to surpass that 1500GP career projection by tens of percents. That was just absurd example to point out what 1G/127GP scoring pace means if extrapolated over very long hypothetic career.

Its clear that Victor isn't playing NHL hockey for his goal scoring skill and potential.

Yeah but he’s kinda good at pinching in to join the offense, as he did for that goal. I don’t expect 20 goals or anything but he was clearly unlucky (although with a better shot he would indeed have many more).

He's a very mobile left D that made the team out of camp at 18 two years ago (straight from the OHL). He had incredibly bad luck in terms of scoring , although he was able to put up a few assists. Most notably he's been paired with Weber pretty much the whole time as his skillset really matches well with Weber's strengths/weaknesses. Glad he was able to get the monkey off his back as the cliche goes...
