Joins Karlsson, Lidstrom, Green, Burns since 06-07

:handclap:

Dud is 6'6 noted for his defensive game when drafted and now he's a point machine? His development is absolutely amazing, no doubt the best player in the 2009 draft

Traded Hampus Lindholm, Brayden Schenn, Phil Kessel for Tyler Johnson, Victor Hedman, and Nikolaj Ehlers in a keeper league two weeks into the season.

I love how that one played out. :handclap:

I remember when Hedman was considered a bust. Funny how player progression isn't always linear. Good on ya Hedman. Wish he was on my team.

But but he's -1 going into tonight's game. That means he can't be good defensively.

I remember that too. A lot of scouts and McKenzie were saying Larsson is better

Very impressive. I didn't expect it, but it's not shocking by any means. The biggest knock I had on him before was that his shot was pretty inaccurate. I think he's improved on that though this season. He has the ability to be both a dominant offensive defenseman and a dominant shutdown defenseman in the league, I'm just not sure if he's been able to bring it all together consistently yet.

He's a stud, plain and simple.

Being able to skate with that type of frame is one thing, but having the mind to take advantage of the physical attributes is what he's developed.

He's going to be a top defencemen in this league for a while I'd imagine.

Who'd imagine Tampa misses the playoffs and Hedman is an underdog for Norris while putting up 70 points..

I can't help but wonder "what if" in regards to Tampa selling at the deadline. I feel like they could have again made noise in the playoffs.

They'll be back next season though I'd imagine, even if Kucherov and Hedman have slightly less productive seasons in terms of points per game.

Even more impressive is that he was a monster defensively the last couple playoff runs. He was my pick for the Conn Smythe if Tampa would have won the Cup in 2015. He did an incredible job keeping Kane off the score sheet.

Congrats Tampa on the home run in Hedman, definitely will contend with Karlsson imo each year to reach the pinnacle in the league. This year I have to give the Norris to Karlsson (no homer) but definitely will be watching him closely the next few seasons for a possible contention.

Hedman had some growing pains upon arrival to the league but my goodness he's developed into one of the best defensemen in the league.

Larsson's better defensively, but I think Hedman has the slight edge offensively. ;)

Just because he scores less doesn't make him better defensively. Hedman is an absolute beast in all three zones.

70 points is crazy awesome for a defenseman too.

How many points out were they at the deadline again? I feel like they made an insane amount of points up
