I think Borgstrom is a good comp in that he’s really skilled but the production never added up and I think that “idea” of the skill will let him hang around in the fringes of the NHL on a few organizations like Borgstrom did.

Obviously a no risk move by Vegas, seems like they were able to have that extra slot for him in the roster without upsetting the apple cart but if he becomes anything more than Borgstrom did I’d be quite surprised.

Does this mean Max Comtois will be released from his PTO with Vegas.

Probably. They played Comtois a lot in the preseason, and although he hustled pretty hard ...... he just didn't seem to fit in, at least by this novice eye. Comtois certainly had enough ice time to make a mark, but probably not the mark he hoped to make.
