Dubnyk, Holtby, Bobrosvky.

Dubnyk barely holding on to average. He's been slipping. BYE
Holtby way below average and looks lost in net. BYE
Bob is invisible and sub .900. BYE
Price BYE

What happened?

Talbot has B2B shutouts. And people were so concerned that he would get burnt out by playing too much.

Price kept himself out of the Vezina conversation so he could avoi the curse and dominate the post-season is what happened. Also:

Dubnyk was declining for a while. 106 PDO or whatever the Wild ended with.

CBJ was a paper tiger. Bob was still dominating to end the regular season, but he wasn't playing the #1 offense in the league every game then.

Hotlby...? Caps just don't look that great, Leafs are taking it to them.

Dubnyk is far from the #1 fall guy for THAT series.

If you told me he'd allow 6 goals in 3 games, 95 times out of 100, the Wild would take that.

But we didn't count on Mike Yeo having a big collection of horseshoes

Holtby has had some unfortunate bounces and tbh his defense has hung him out more than a few times. Tonight was a perfect example. 3 goals off of deflections/bounces, and 1 where 3 Caps were behind the net, then his own player took him out of the play after making the initial save.

Their defense was awesome when he was making his case for the Vezina. Not so much in the playoffs.

But he's not a Vezina candidate. Neither is Rinne.

Rinne isn't but Bobrovsky, Holtby, Dubnyk, Price, and Talbot are the top 5 this year. Bobrovsky will win, with any of the other 4 going in whatever order the GM's think fitting.

No way you put Talbot over Dubnyk lol

That all comes down to what the media decides. Dubnyk was less than stellar at the end of the season and Talbot put on a show. Could sway either way. But to say he DEFINITELY is not there is being shortsighted or a hate on Talbot and the Oilers.

Dubnyk was way better than Talbot throughout the season.

To say Talbot is better than Dubnyk is being shortsighted, fanboying Edmonton or a hate on Dubnyk and the Wild.

If you told me before the series that Dubnyk would allow 2 goals in each of the games I'd think we'd be up 3-0. 2-1 at worst.

The Vezina is decided by the GMs.

He won't get nominated but he's right there.

Dubnyk getting exposed shouldn't surprise anyone.

.923sv% and 1.86GAA. Yeah he's really been exposed.

You want to talk about exposed? How about the darling Bobrovsky? The goalie who with another Vezina can rival Price for best of this generation. The goalie who's supposedly far better than Dubnyk.

Dubnyk gets his **** on this website and sometimes he deserves it (this series is NOT one of those times), but it's time Bobrovsky starts getting some flak as well. He couldn't stop a beach ball.

Now, which one of those teams was a perennial playoff team and which one was a bottom feeder prior to this season?

Hmm.

That first goal he let in game 3 was less than stellar, to put it politely. When your team is struggling to score you can't let those in.

Numbers wise he's been good but the quality of goals hasn't been great.

McDavid definitely had nothing to do with that huh?

Sure he did but if you don't have goaltending you're not going anywhere no matter how good your forwards are. Stars and Jets fans can attest to that.

McDavid isn't the reason they're 8th in the league in GA.

So you got one goal that he arguably shouldn't have let in, and that's your argument? Not to mention the goal you brought up, IIRC, the defensive help he was was less than adequate.

The blame for this series being 3-0 rests so little on Dubnyk's shoulders. Bad goals, good goals, it doesn't matter. He has a 1.86GAA, and they're down 0-3 because the team can't score. Dubnyk is giving them every chance they need to win games. The rest of the team's inability to do any-****ing-thing is why we're losing.
