Brad Pitt in Less than Zero--he tells a story where he was pouring something and he created a line for himself and was told if he does it he will get fired--he did not have his SAG card yet and was trying to get the magic 3 productions where he had lines.

Kevin Costner in night shift billed as Frat boy 1

Arnold Schwarzenegger's debut was very different from most actors in that his very first part was a starring role, not as an extra or bit part. Here's a portion of his very first scene in that movie, Hercules in New York (1969), with both dubbed and undubbed versions, the latter of which shows how crude his English was when he was new to America. It's hard to believe that he's only 22 years old in this.

I did not find the undubbed version to be hard to understand at all.

Neither do I, and he actually gets a little better as the movie goes on (which the director also noted). I re-watched the undubbed version of the whole movie just a couple of months ago and didn't have any trouble understanding him. Of course, I'm used to his Austrian accent and we're talking about 1969 here. Audiences back then probably would've had some trouble understanding him, so dubbing him is, perhaps, understandable. Anyone who's going to watch it nowadays, though, should just watch it undubbed (which might mean finding the DVD version).

Does Ben Affleck's role in the PBS miniseries Voyage of the Mimi count? :D Saw that in 1986 or '87, by the time he was famous I'd long since forgotten him in it.
